Reading about the cougar killed by a car on the East Coast caused me to reflect on what we are doing to our natural resources and the environment.
It is believed that this animal traveled over 1,500 miles in search of a mate only to meet its demise on the eastern coast of the US by a vehicle. Maybe we should rethink our policies on global warming and protection of our natural resources and the environment.
I remember early last year being at at gathering of freinds and seeing a cougar in the woods of Afton, MN. All of my freinds thought i was crazy stating there are no cougars here in Afton. Now it is scientifically confirmed that this cougar killed on the East Coast indeeed came from the Black Hiils of South Dakota and traveled through MN. This animals drive and determination has set records according to the Twin Cities newspapers.
