Announcing Candidacy to Represent Oakdale, Maplewood and Landfall

I’m writing this blog to introduce myself to the bloggers and Internet folks in Oakdale, South Maplewood and Landfall on Oakdale Patch.

Folks that visit Woodbury Patch are familiar with me as a longtime blogger.

I am running in the DFL primary for the newly created District 53/53A legislature position(s). I have lived over in northwestern Woodbury (by the Country Inn) for most of my life. Many friends of mine live in the Oakdale area and I am over there visiting them often.

To get an idea of the Oakdale I remember, my buddies and I had to actually go to Saint Paul Harley-Davidson in Saint Paul to get parts for our motorcycles. I also spent some time down by Tanners Lake as it was frequented by a lot of us that had the 1960s Chargers, Challengers, Novas and Chevelles. I worked over at Charo's in Landfall, which is now a parking lot. Anyways, that was a lot of years ago but this gives you an idea of my history in this area.
