Woodbury home prices slipped in March, but the 13-county metro area has held its ground.
No doubt the positive news is coming in stronger than it used to with regards to the housing market. It's important to remember that the business cycle takes about 6 months to show up in prices. Mortgage applications are the first to swell, followed by showing activity and pending home sales.
With 30 to 45 days needed to close the typical transaction and then another month for the sale prices to show up you are looking at old news. Just like the market "officially" shifting in 2006 I could feel inventory begin to swell in late 2005 when you saw Days On Market starting to stretch and multiple offers decrease.
