Woodbury Adaptive Dance Program Fundraiser

A Woodbury dance studio is calling on holiday shoppers and Santa fans to help raise money for its Adapted Dance Program.

On Sunday, December 15th, Delmonico Dance is hosting an event featuring free photos with Santa and holiday shopping from 1 to 4 pm. During the event, you can make a donation to Delmonico Dance's Adapted Dance Program.

"We want to provide an inexpensive way for dancers with special needs to take class weekly and perform in our end of the year recital without being burdened by the cost of tuition and costume fees," says owner Kim Delmonico.

The program launched this year and already has  nearly 20 students participating who range in age and abilities. The studio website says it offers the only nearby dance program for students with special needs.

"We have had some wonderful positive feedback and are looking forward to growing this program," says Delmonico.

Donations will also be accepted at the holiday event for the Tubman Shelter and Augsburg College's Free Clinic for the Homeless.
