Give to the Max Day: Hey Woodbury Nonprofits, We Want to Help You Raise Money

Find out how you can use Woodbury Patch to reach the community.

This is a notice for all Woodbury nonprofit leaders: Share your story with us.

With Give to the Max Day coming up on Nov. 15—when hundreds of thousands of dollars will flow to our local nonprofits—Woodbury Patch wants to give you an opportunity to share your organization's story and why people should donate to it.

Also, this is the first year GiveMN is allowing K-12 public schools to fundraise on the site. During Give to the Max Day, public schools will be eligible for prize grants in the form of hourly “Golden Tickets”—an hourly drawing to add $1,000 to a person’s donation—randomly selected from donors who gave during each hour of the event. At the end of the event, one public schools donor will be drawn to receive a "Super-sized Golden Ticket," adding $10,000 to their donation.

Last year, $13.6 million was raised in Minnesota on Give To the Max Day, with GiveMN.org, the group behind the annual giving day, handing out another $4.1 million in incentives for groups that met benchmarks for individual donations and dollars raised.

Blogging: Blogging on Patch and sharing your story is as easy as clicking here.

In addition to getting great visibility on the front page of our site, blogs are often promoted to our followers on Facebook and Twitter. Seriously, what's not to love about all that?

Get the word out: If blogging isn't your thing, be sure to post events and announcements on Woodbury Patch.

We hope you take advantage of our platform to reach out to the community. We'd also welcome you to continue to share your news and stories with the community through Patch. We're a tool for you to use—please do.

Happy fundraising!
