Letter: Pam Cunningham is a Unique Candidate for State Representative

Woodbury resident Jerry Palesh voices his support for the Republican.

I don’t get it.

Pam Cunningham is the Republican-endorsed candidate for the House of Representatives in District 53A, right?

But she drives a Prius, she is on a school board and she works as a nurse for a charity organization. Next you’re going to tell me that the school board was dominated by teacher-endorsed members and she calls her fellow board members friends.

With that kind of background, she may be able to work with both Democrats and Republicans and get something positive done in the Legislature. Wow, that would be different, but then Pam Cunningham is a different kind of candidate who doesn’t meet the typical stereotypes.

I am impressed by her achievements and I think it is time for something new and refreshing.

—Jerry Palesh, Woodbury
