Letter: Woodbury Commissioner Lisa Weik Thanks Voters

Weik, the incumbent, won the District 5 Washington County Board seat on Tuesday.

Dear Woodbury voters,

I want to express my sincere appreciation to my fellow Woodbury residents who re-elected me to the county board on Nov. 6. I am humbled by the strong show of support I received in the General Election in my newly re-drawn commissioner district and consider it an honor and privilege to represent you.

I also appreciate the time and efforts of my campaign committee for helping with my re-election bid; your steadfast support was critical to my success. I couldn't have done it without your help or without the unwavering support of my husband and family.

I want to acknowledge my opponent, Nancy Remakel, for running a clean, issues-based campaign. I’m grateful to have debated relevant issues in public formats for citizens to cast an informed vote.

In my next term I'll continue to work every day to be an unwavering voice for the people in my district and for all citizens of Washington County. Our strength and greatest assets are the people who live here. I want Washington County to continue to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
