Afton Man Arrested For Pulling Knife In Woodbury Road Rage Incident

The man was booked at the Washington County Jail for fifth-degree assault.

A road rage incident on Jan. 23 ended with an Afton man pulling a knife on a man from Woodbury.

The incident happened at about 12:15 p.m. when two motorists were swearing at each other on the roads and ended up in a parking lot at the 7400 block of Currell Boulevard, according to a report.

The two were exchanging expletives and the Afton man stood at the door of the Woodbury man’s car and kicked it when he tried to exit.

When he eventually got out of the car, the Afton man grabbed him and brandished a knife, according to the report. Witnesses told them to break it up and they did, with the Afton man closing the blade.

The Afton man, who was located a nearby business, admitted to pulling the knife and was booked at the Washington County Jail for fifth-degree assault.
