Brief: About $4,000 in Materials Reported Stolen from Liberty Ridge Construction Site

Crews requested extra patrols following the theft.

Crews at the expansion site called police on July 13 after about $4,000 worth of construction materials was stolen, according to a police report.

Workers told police the theft likely occurred sometime between June 10-12.

The report says 50 cartons of “underlayment” were stolen at the site, where District 833 is building a new $4.5 million second location to . The site is generally across the street from Liberty Ridge Elementary.

A worker told police that there had been a delay in construction and the materials had been sitting out longer than they normally would have been.

Crews asked police to conduct extra patrols in the area, as someone appears to be targeting roofing materials, according to the report.
