Brief: Slide Burned at Woodbury’s Evergreen East Park
The fire was mostly out by the time the Woodbury Fire Department arrived.
A plastic slide at a Woodbury park was set on fire and melted on March 18.
Firefighters were called to at about 5:40 a.m., but the fire was mostly out by that point, Cmdr. John Wallgren said.
The assumption is that juveniles set the fire, which was merely smoldering by the time firefighters arrived. They put out the “hot spots,” according to a police report. No one was found in the area.

A resident at the 8200 block of Galway Road reported the fire.
