Developing: State Patrol Chase Ends at Lake Road Exit in Woodbury

In a developing story, a man has been apprehended after leading Minnesota State Patrol officers on a short chase along Interstate 494 in the Twin Cities Tuesday morning.

According to reports on Police Clips and verified by scanner chatter, a man believed armed and also wearing body armor was headed out on the to freeway around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers attempted a "high" risk traffic stop, meaning they knew the vehicle could flee at any time. The driver did, but was intercepted by State Patrol officers during the short chase on 494.

The pursuit ended, and authorities retraced the chase, looking for something the man allegedly threw out a window in the vehicle.

Woodbury Patch will have more on this as information becomes available.
