Dogged Out at Restaurant, Off Tune, Love Letter?: Woodbury Police Blotter

Selected calls to the Woodbury Public Safety Department from May 28 through June 4.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

May 28

A resident called police about two juveniles beating on a wagon with sticks at the 1000 block of Briar Glen Lane. Officers arrived and no beat-up wagons were visible.

May 29

A man contacted police after a heated confrontation with another customer at Life Time Fitness. He wanted the incident documented in case things escalated.

As she arrived home, a woman saw a man sitting in a car outside the house at the 2200 block of Wildflower Lane. She went inside and heard a knock on the door, and opened it to see him get in the car and drive away. There was a note on the door that said something like: “Hey, you’re a hot MILF, call me.” She simply wanted the incident documented.

May 30

The mother of a man who was beaten up on a party bus called police. Officers made contact with him, and he was drunk, injured and disoriented, and didn’t know where the incident happened or how he got home. He did not want to press criminal charges.

While on routine patrol at Woodbury Lakes, where there have been thefts of late, an officer noticed a woman walking with a very full Old Navy bag. There is not an Old Navy at the mall, and the officer became suspicious. The officer then noticed the woman meet with her son and another woman, and they appeared to be looking for the squad car and quickly went into the bathroom area. When they left the bathroom area, neither had the Old Navy bag. One of the women had a warrant out for her arrest and was taken into custody. The bag was found in the trash in the men’s bathroom; it was full of kids clothing and other items that were apparently stolen from stores at Woodbury Lakes and were returned. One woman was transported to the Washington County Jail; the other was trespassed from the mall.

Someone stole two phones from T-Mobile and ran out the door. Workers planned to deactivate the phones' sim cards, making the phones unusable.

May 31

A driver who was being followed by another motorist went to the Public Safety Department on Radio Drive and the other person stopped following her.

Someone dumped sod near a swamp at St. Johns and Eastview drives.

Police were called about an assault involving two females—one woman apparently punched the other. One woman’s mother asked the other to stop singing, and she got upset and started yelling and making threats. The other woman left and was followed outside and punched in the arm. The incident was documented.

A report of a possible burglary turned out to be juveniles who accidentally locked themselves out of a house and climbed on the roof and through an open window to get back inside.

June 1

Police were called to Champps restaurant about an unruly customer. A woman with a service dog came in and waved the ID card for the animal and said something to the effect of: “I don’t want anybody asking me about it so tell your host not to say a word to me about it.” An employee later asked to see the ID card, and the woman refused to provide it and said things like: “I’m gonna get your job” and “I’m gonna close you down.” She continued to be uncooperative with requests and was asked to leave. On the way out she made a scene, yelling at workers. Police made contact with the woman, who said employees were rude.

A man called police after another man drove past his wife while she was outside a room at the Red Roof Inn and said, “Come on, let’s party.” The husband assumed it was in reference to drugs or sex. The driver then left the area in an unknown direction.

June 2

A road rage incident broke out at Hudson Road and Settlers Ridge Parkway. One driver apparently took a swing at another person, but no one wanted to press charges.

June 4

Police were called about a possible fight at the 6900 block of Macbeth Circle. It turned out to be a verbal altercation, and some of those involved were leaving the house. They were intoxicated, and police gave one man a ride to SuperAmerica.
