A man called police to say that he and his cousin, later identified as Farahan, were watching videos on his cell phone. He later noticed that his cell phone was missing and the two got into a verbal argument.

When he left the house, Farahan followed him outside. At that point, Farahan pulled out a Taser-like device and threatened his cousin with it. The man fled and left in his truck, and he noticed Farahan waving a cell phone and the Taser in his hands.

The man told police he had previously seen his cousin “arc test” the Taser.

The next day, executed a search warrant at the home and found a Taser C2 along with two spare cartridges. Police also found the $700 cell phone, along with a small amount of marijuana.

A review of defendant Farahan's criminal record indicates that he was convicted of felony financial transaction card fraud in Dakota County in 2009.
