Resident Hospitalized After Car Fire at Tamarack Hills

The individual, whose gender or hometown wasn't immediately available, suffered from smoke inhalation.

A resident incurred “significant” injuries Thursday night after suffering from smoke inhalation during a car fire at Tamarack Hills in Woodbury.

The gender and city of residence of the person wasn’t immediately available. The individual was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

A 2002 Jeep Liberty caught fire and was the only vehicle involved in the incident, said Sgt. John Altman. The cause of the fire wasn’t known Thursday night.

The Woodbury Fire Department got the call at 6:54 p.m. and crews were on scene a few minutes later, Altman said. The fire was extinguished by 7:12 p.m.
