Hundreds of Pills Found in Woodbury Man’s Car, Complaint Alleges

Jacob Richard Lindekugel, 20, faces a first-degree felony drug charge.

After being pulled over for speeding on July 7, police found hundreds of pills, along with $3,122 in cash, in a Woodbury man’s car.

That’s according to the criminal complaint against Jacob Richard Lindekugel, 20, who faces a first-degree felony drug charge.

A Washington County deputy at about 7:50 a.m. on July 7 pulled over a car after clocking it at 70 mph in a 50 mph zone near Highway 5 and 58th Street North.

The deputy noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and the driver, later identified as Lindekugel, appeared to be nervous and was digging along the driver-side door.

In the car, police found $3,122 in cash wrapped in a binder, along with a backpack that contained:

  • packaging material consisting with narcotics trafficking;
  • a large prescription bottle with 860 pills identified as Valium;
  • a baggy of 11 capsules identified as amphetamine;
  • two bottles of suspected methadone;
  • a baggy of 79 pills later identified as Lorazepam;
  • a baggy of 18 pills later identified as Oxycodone;
  • a baggy of 18 unidentified pink pills;
  • two prescription bottles with a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine with a total weight of 7.8 ounces; and
  • a prescription bottle with a substance that field tested positive for marijuana with a gross weight of 1.6 ounces.

A passenger in the car told police Lindekugel had bragged that he “made a bunch of money selling drugs” over the previous two days.

The drugs were sent to the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for further testing.

Lindekugel has previous drug convictions on his record.

If convicted of the latest charge, he faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
