Lake Elmo Boy Dies After Collision with Motorcycle: Update

Visitation for Pierre LeQue has been set for 4-8 p.m. Sunday at CullenCrea Funeral Home in New Richmond, Wis. Services are set for 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, in New Richmond.

The 9-year-old Lake Elmo boy who collided with a motorcycle on the shoulder of Highway 5 near 31st Street last week has died.

Pierre LeQue was a fourth-grader Red Rock Elementary School in Woodbury.

"Pierre will be remembered as a very energetic little boy who enjoyed riding bike, playing his iPad & Wii, fishing, rollerblading, swimming, singing, dancing, playing with his dogs, hanging out with dad, snuggling with mom and shopping with Darby,"LeQue's obituary reads, "and he was an avid Packer fan."

A 46-year-old Lake Elmo man who was driving a 1994 Harley Davidson westbound on Highway 5 in Lake Elmo at about 5:41 p.m. on Sept. 4 when he pulled over to the right shoulder to address a mechanical issue on the motorcycle.

While on the shoulder of the road, a LeQue came out of his driveway riding a bike and broadsided the motorcycle, according to the State Patrol. He was transported to Regions Hospital with serious injuries.
