Loud Booms Reported in Woodbury Early Tuesday Morning

Police a few blocks away heard the noises, which were attributed to blown underground energy transformers.

Underground transformers apparently blew along Parkwood Drive near Valley Creek Road early Tuesday morning, sounding off several loud booms and waking residents.

Officers a few blocks away heard the booms, said Michelle Okada, Public Safety spokeswoman.

“It sounds like it was pretty loud,” she said.
