Motorcyclist Trapped Under Car in Woodbury Crash on Upper Afton Road

The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10.

A motorcyclist was transported to Regions Hospital with serious injuries following a Wednesday crash along Upper Afton Road in Woodbury.

A four-door sedan turned in front of the motorcycle at Oakwood Road and the motorcyclist got trapped beneath the car, said Woodbury Police Sgt. Omar Maklad.

The Woodbury Fire Department had to use a hydraulic device to free the man.

The Public Safety Department got the call at about 4:35 p.m. July 10, Maklad said, and it was unclear at 6:15 p.m. the extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries or whether the driver of the car would be cited.
