Pickup Driver Puts 'Deep Ruts' in Woodbury High Outfield

A witness said the vehicle was a gray or silver pickup with "a topper and non-functioning right rear brake light."

A couple watched a pickup truck drive to an outfield at Woodbury High School and dig donuts into the grass at about 8 p.m. Nov. 6.

The couple told Woodbury police the pickup was a late 2000s gray or silver Chevrolet with "a topper and a non-functioning right rear brake light," according to the complaint.

The driver came from Courtly Road, turned off the vehicle's lights, went to "the path by the softball fields" and made donuts "on the outfield between Field 2 and the batting cages."

"The vehicle caused significant damage to the outfield, leaving several deep ruts and tears in the grass," according to the complaint. The pickup then went back out of the area heading west on Courtly Road.

The couple was not able to see the driver.
