Police Report: Man with Baseball Bat on the Lookout for ‘Woodbury Gang Members’

Police learned his family had recently moved to Woodbury from Arizona.

While on routine patrol at about 1:20 p.m. on July 23, a officer spotted a man dressed in black carrying a baseball bat near the intersection of Lake Road and Radio Drive.

He initially told the officer he was out for a walk and had the bat with him because he felt like playing baseball, according to a police report.

On further questioning, however, he told police he was carrying the bat “in case he encountered any Woodbury gang members,” reads part of the report. “The (subject) was deceptive and not making much sense.”
