The mother of a wrestler allegedly punched a Ponies assistant wrestling coach in the face twice after being told “the bench is no place for parents.”
The coach told police the woman was interfering with the wrestlers before she punched him in the face during a meet last week at , according to a police report. He did not report any injures and wanted the incident documented.
The woman left the high school before arrived.
Stillwater Athletic Director Ricky Michel said it was an internal matter that has since been taken care of.
