Public Safety Department Seeks Police Reserve Volunteers

The City of Woodbury is seeking volunteers to fill Police Reserve Officer positions in its Public Safety Department.

The City of Woodbury is seeking volunteers to fill Police Reserve Officer positions in its Public Safety Department.

From the job listing on the city's website:

The Woodbury Police Reserves program is staffed by a dedicated group of women and men from varied occupations and provide at least 10 hours of service each month. The Reserve Officer is a non-sworn, uniformed member of the Police Department. Reserve officers do not carry firearms and do not have authority to make arrests, but they do serve in critical roles that enhance the work of Woodbury’s sworn police officers. Reserves conduct their regular shifts in pairs, driving a marked Woodbury Police squad car or they can serve in a ride-along capacity with sworn officers.
