Updated: Second Dead Woman Found in Car Linked to Woodbury Man

Alberto Prece Palmer, 24, is a suspect in the death of Klaressa L. Cook.

For the second time in four months, a Woodbury man has been connected to a dead woman found in a car in an impound lot, according to multiple reports.

Alberto Prece Palmer, 24, is a suspect in the death of Klaressa L. Cook, whose body was found in the trunk of a car in a Minneapolis impound lot on May 20, according to the Star Tribune.

Palmer was charged in March with the murder of Brittany Clardy, 18, whose body was found in a car in a Columbia Heights impound lot in April. He was charged with second-degree murder in that case.

The body of Cook, 24, of Gainsville, Ga., was found in the trunk of a car at Wrecker Services, Inc., in Minneapolis, according to the Star Tribune. The car in which she was found was towed April 11 from the Rainbow Foods in Brooklyn Park, the report says.

The cause of Cook’s death is under investigation, according to a release from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. Brooklyn Park police are investigating.

Authorities have not said why they suspect Palmer—who remains in custody in Anoka County—in Cook’s death, according to the Star Tribune, which has a photo of her on its website.

In the Clardy murder case, police in March said the St. Paul teenager worked as a prostitute and Palmer was her last client.

His arrest at a Woodbury home on March 6 followed an investigation into ads Clardy placed on Backpage.com, along with information from several cell phones found in the car in which her body was discovered.

Palmer is also a suspect in cases of violence against women in Georgia.

In Clardy’s death, Palmer allegedly hit her over the head several times with a hammer at a home in Brooklyn Park. At the home, police found blood soaked through the floor and a pair of pants believed to be Clardy's.

“From all the evidence in the complaint, Palmer appears to be a very dangerous man,” Tony Palumbo, Anoka County attorney, said in a March statement. “While nothing we do can bring Brittany Clardy back, we can and intend to hold accountable the person who we believe took her life. It is a sad day for Brittany’s family and we will seek justice for her.”
