Serial Burglar from Woodbury Sentenced to More Than 3 Years in Prison

Christine Celeste Burtman, 47, was suspected in a number of area burglaries.

A Woodbury woman was recently sentenced to 44 months in prison following a conviction for first-degree burglary.

Christine Celeste Burtman, 47, was suspected of several burglaries in Woodbury and elsewhere in Washington County, and her sentence will run concurrently with two other burglary-related convictions.

Burtman was arrested in late January in Woodbury’s Homestead Hills neighborhood after a resident working from home saw a woman trying to break into her house and others nearby.

She was later linked to residential burglaries in Lake Elmo and Marine on St. Croix. Both of those incidents involved people finding Burtman on their property in odd situations.
