SUV Hits and Kills Woman on Century Avenue

A woman died Monday after being hit by an SUV while crossing Century Avenue in Oakdale, according to the State Patrol.

She was with another pedestrian and was not crossing at the crosswalk north of 10th Street when she was hit by the 2011 Ford Escape, which heading north at the time of the incident.

The woman’s name was expected to be released Tuesday. The State Patrol responded at about 5:45 Monday, Nov. 4.

The SUV, heading north on Highway 120 when the woman was hit, was going 20-25 mph, according to the State Patrol. Road conditions were dry.

The pedestrians were walking south on the right shoulder when they crossed, reads the State Patrol incident report.
