Two Grass Fires Break Out on I-94

The Woodbury Fire Department was able to quickly extinguish both.

The Woodbury Fire Department extinguished two grass fires that broke out along Interstate 94 on Tuesday afternoon.

The first call came in at about 12:30 p.m., and the second fire was going by the time crews arrived, said Michelle Okada, Public Safety spokeswoman.

Both fires, which sent plumes of smoke in the air and prompted several emergency calls, were on the north side of the freeway, she said.
