Two Men Charged Following Crack Deal Orchestrated by Police

Two men face felony drug charges after police set up a drug deal for $400 worth of crack.

Dana Earl Luellen, Jr., 42, of New Hope, was hit with two felony drug charges, while Danell Orlando Ceaser, 32, of Minneapolis, faces one felony drug count following an April 18 drug deal at a parking lot on Hudson Road in Woodbury.

Authorities learned through a confidential informant that an individual named “Rob” could provide the informant with crack, according to the criminal complaint. The person told the informant that he would need a ride to Woodbury and the $400 included a delivery charge, the complaint says.

Police set up a surveillance van at the 6000 block of Hudson Road to monitor the buy, which went off as planned, according to the complaint. The suspected dealer and another man were in a green Ford F150 and were pulled over by police a short time later; both individuals were arrested and booked at the Washington County Jail.

The two rocks recovered from the informant were field tested and weighed 5.1 grams and tested positive for cocaine, according to the complaint.
