Wisconsin Woman Charged with Credit-Card Fraud in Woodbury

Sara Lynn Dullum, 24, is charged with felony credit-card fraud, after using a co-worker's credit card at local stores.

A Prescott, WI, woman has been charged with using a credit card she took from a co-worker at two stores in Woodbury in July.

Sara Lynn Dullum, 24, is charged with felony credit-card fraud, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim reported to police on July 21 that her credit card was stolen earlier in the month, and that it had been used at Walmart and Gander Mountain in Woodbury and at Burger King in Cottage Grove on July 8.

The victim said that she and Dullum worked for an in-home health care provider, and she had worked at a home in New Richmond, WI, on July 6. The victim said she left her purse at the home that day, and when she returned on July 8, the purse was still there, but she discovered later that her Citibank credit card was missing.

The victim said Dullum was working in the same home on July 8.

Detectives obtained surveillance video from Walmart and Gander Mountain, along with transaction receipts, and determined that Dullum had taken her 3-year-old daughter with her when she made $216 worth of purchases at Walmart and bought a $200 gift card at Gander Mountain, using the victim’s credit card in both instances, according to the complaint.

A detective confronted Dullum with the evidence on July 30, and she admitted taking the victim’s credit card and using it at the three businesses, the complaint charges.

Dullum is scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charge Dec. 18 in Washington County District Court.
