Woodbury Man Locks Himself in Restaurant Bathroom, Found With Drugs, Complaint Says

Andrew Randall Sears, 24, faces two felony drug charges.

A Woodbury man faces two felony drug charges after he allegedly locked himself in the bathroom of a Minneapolis restaurant when his credit card was declined and was found with cocaine and prescription drugs in his possession.

Andrew Randall Sears, 24, was recently charged in Hennepin County District Court following the April 3 incident.

Minneapolis police were dispatched to Manny’s steak house after a man refused to pay his bill and locked himself in the bathroom.

Officers learned that a man, later identified as Sears, had run up a $103 tab, and his credit card had been declined.

Police were able to apprehend Sears, who was found with a bottle of Klonopin prescribed to someone else, along with several needles, in his possession.

During a search at the Hennepin County Jail, officers found a bag with a small amount of cocaine.

If convicted on both counts, Sears faces up to 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.
