Woodbury PD Blotter: Aug. 19-23

Several vehicle break-ins reported recently, plus vandalism and threats between neighbors.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

The driver-side window of a vehicle parked at the 6900 block of Ashwood Road was broken and the car stereo was reported stolen on Aug. 19.

During the overnight hours of Aug. 18-19, syrup was poured on the front of a home at the 3300 block of Hazel Trail. The home was also egged, and baking powder and cheese was thrown on the home.

Two gallons of fuel was siphoned from a lawn mower that a resident at the 2500 block of Manning Avenue is selling. The incident happened during the overnight hours of Aug. 18-19. The mower was parked at the end of the driveway.

For the , police were called to on a report of an injured hawk. Officers on Aug. 19 helped officials from the University of Minnesota Raptor Center corral the bird, which was brought to the center for rehabilitation.

After hearing a loud banging sound, residents at the 2000 block of Lamplight Circle went outside to see what it was. The resident of the home from which the noise was emanating came outside and swore at his neighbors and threatened to kill them. Police contacted the man and warned him that he would be arrested if similar incidents occur in the future.

Someone broke into on Aug. 19. A building manager confronted the man, who fled on foot.

There were several reports of vehicles that were rummaged through at the 3500 and 3600 block of Commonwealth Road during the overnight hours of Aug. 19-20. In a few instances, nothing was stolen.

A skateboard valued at $250 was reported stolen from the yard of a home at the 3900 block of Bailey Ridge Drive on Aug. 20.

Newspapers and soda cans were spread across the yard of a home at the 8800 block of Rainer Drive on Aug. 21. The caller told police it was likely kids having fun.

Two motorists were engaged in a road rage incident on Aug. 21 near the intersection of Manning Avenue and Bailey Road. One of the people reportedly held a bat out of his window.

A GPS device and $10 in change was reported stolen from a vehicle at the 2700 block of Wimbledon Drive on Aug. 22.

A resident at the 2500 block of Timberlea Drive called police on Aug. 23 after hearing a noise at 3 a.m. He looked outside to find the door of his car open; the garage door was also open. Nothing appeared to be missing.
