The following information was obtained from recent police reports.
Police were called to on a report that a senior citizen had shoplifted a suit coat and other clothing valued at $290 total. An employee told police he seemed to have layered the stolen clothes under his outfit.
A woman’s wallet was stolen at the but it was later recovered in the women’s bathroom. Everything was still inside except $25 in cash.
A resident at the 10500 block of Golden Eagle Trail contained a stray cat, which officers brought to the .
The put out a dumpster fire at the 9700 block of Hudson Road.
A Eagan resident called police about a dead dear near the 6400 block of Valley Creek Road. He said it appeared to be a coyote attack, based on footprints in the area.
A resident at the 7400 block of Courtly Road reported that his mail was stolen, and his wife noticed a white pickup truck driving slowly through the area. Police said it was likely related to in Woodbury and the surrounding area.
A couple that dropped off their child at on Lake Road Terrace returned to their vehicle 10 minutes later to find that it had been broken into. A window was broken and a purse was stolen. While officers were taking the report another resident approached police to report a similar incident. There were other incidents reported in the area as well; two at the 8100 block of Coller Way.
Police were called to after a woman tried to return a Bissell Cleaner valued at $150. An employee noted that the receipt was dated 15 minutes earlier and assumed she grabbed a different cleaner from a shelf and tried to return it. A man who was with the woman started arguing with and swearing at the employee. The man then left, but urinated in an entryway before he departed. The employee approached the man and he spit at her. The employee followed the man to his vehicle but it had no license plates.
Police were called to the 11000 block of Oak Grove Circle on a report of domestic assault. A woman told police that her husband threatened to beat her to death and kicked her in the back. Officers arrested the man, who was booked at Washington County Jail.
Employees at called police after seeing someone on surveillance tapes steal a $400 vacuum cleaner.
An employee at called police after a man came in asking if she had seen any suspicious activity in the area recently. It was later learned that the man was a plainclothes officer.
Police were called to the on Norma Lane after a man stole bottles of 5 Hour Energy. He was cited and released. He told police he took four bottles but the fifth was his.
Managers at called police after a man in the drive-thru lane was being belligerent and using racial slurs toward employees. The man was apparently upset over the price of a Big Mac. He left before officers arrived and employees did not get his license plate number.
Someone tried to break into but did not gain entry. A door was partially pried open.
A shed at an abandoned farmhouse near was turned over.
A woman stopped into the Woodbury to report that her purse had been stolen while she was at .
A wallet containing $180 cash, credit cards and other items was reported stolen from a woman’s purse while she was at the .
A woman who lives at the 7800 block of Rimbley Road was trying to sell her Australian birds on craigslist. Three men came over to inquire about the birds. While she was speaking to one of them, two others managed to remove two birds and one egg from a cage. (The woman owns several birds.)
A man at the 6000 block of Birchwood Road reported that $2,100 was taken from a ceramic jar at his home. He told police someone entered his home through a garage service door.
The Woodbury Fire Department put out a small fire in a cigarette container at the 10200 block of City Walk Drive.
