Woodbury PD Blotter: Landscape Larceny, Stolen Steaks, Shot Fired

Selected calls to the Woodbury Police Department from Nov. 23-29.

The following information was obtained from recent police reports.

Nov. 23

There were reports of a wrong-way driver at the Interstate 494-Valley Creek Road ramp.

A resident at the 2000 block of St. Johns Place was warned about not picking up his dog’s leavings. The resident acknowledged he could be better about it.

Using duct tape, someone made a Star of David in the road at the 1200 block of Donegal Bay. A resident told police he did not think it was directed specifically at anyone in the neighborhood.

The license plates of a vehicle parked at were reported stolen.

About $9 in change was reported stolen from a vehicle in an unlocked garage at the 6000 block of Birchwood Road.

Two iPods, cash, beauty products and other items were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at the 1200 block of Cedarwood Place.

Someone stole $310 in cash from a purse left in a bathroom stall at .

Nov. 24

A drunken woman was kicked out of and was reportedly walking around the parking lot.

Someone broke into and stole steaks, cookies and more than $20 in quarters.

Two televisions were reported stolen from a garage at the 600 block of Settlers Ridge Parkway. A woman was storing her things there while she moved.

Police arrested and cited individuals involved in a shoplifting incident at .

A resident at the 2300 block of Cameron Drive put out a kitchen fire. The helped ventilate the home.

Nov. 25

Someone burglarized a home at the 7700 block of Somerset Road and stole jewelry.

A motorist crashed into the back of another vehicle at Radio Drive and Interstate 94 and fled.

Nov. 26

Three men reportedly broke into a Woodbury home (the address was redacted in the report) and assaulted the residents. As the subjects were leaving, they fired a gun, prompting a call to police.

A man stole a $600 display phone from the on Hudson Road. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras.

License plates were stolen from a vehicle parked at the 3200 block of Oak View Drive.

A 1992 Honda Accord was stolen from the 6900 block of Collingwood Lane.

Police executed a search warrant at the 3700 block of Monticello Drive and recovered 332.5 grams of marijuana. A man was arrested and booked at the Washington County Jail.

A homeowner at near the intersection of Pioneer Drive and Lake Road was able to put out a bonfire that had gotten out of control.

Nov. 27

A number of thin metal yard markers with flags—placed along a driveway at the 9200 block of Highview Lane to warn plows because of impending snow—were reported stolen.

A resident at the 10800 block of Bentwater Lane called police about a suspicious baggie that she thought might be drugs. Police found that it was actually a bunch of bang snaps, the small white bags that make a popping sound when thrown on the ground.

Landscaping blocks were once again stolen from a retaining wall at . The blocks have been taken 1-3 at a time. Workers there set up a trail camera and got an image of a two-tone Hyundai Veracruz.

Nov. 29

While on routine patrol, officers noticed several open mailboxes along the 7900 block of Somerset Knoll. The city has been hit with a rash of mail theft of late. (Click , and for more information.) Police also learned that some mail was stolen and also recovered some mail in the area. A similar incident was reported at the 1500 block of Glenbeigh Place, 1400 block of Tamberwood Trail and 8000 block of Somerset Knoll.

A 1999 Honda Civic was reported stolen from the parking lot at Country Inn and Suites.
