In addition to DWI, he will also likely be charged with second-degree test refusal.

After providing a urine sample for police at the Washington County Jail, he drank it.

“Without gagging,” said Woodbury Public Safety spokeswoman Michelle Okada.

The 23-year-old, who will likely be charged soon, was stopped at the 6000 block of Hudson Road at about 1:35 p.m. Monday, May 13, Okada said. There have been garage break-ins in the area and officers were initially called on a suspicious person report.

He was arrested and transported to the county jail, where he provided the urine sample, Okada said.

An officer then asked if he was done, he said no, and then he drank his own urine.

Authorities also use a white powder as a preservative in bottles for urine samples, Okada said.
