Woodbury Police Rescue Ducklings

"Through careful negotiation all 8 ducklings were removed from the dangers of the sewer and reunited with a happy mother duck," reads a notice on the Public Safety Department's Facebook page.

Woodbury community-service officers have conducted their first rescue of the season.

The Public Safety Department got a call at about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, and officers responded to the intersection of Churchill Court and Sherwood Road, police told Patch.

First “rescue” of the season-A resident requested WPD assistance with 8 ducklings stuck in a sewer. Through careful negotiation all 8 ducklings were removed from the dangers of the sewer and reunited with a happy mother duck.
