Woodbury Cmdr. Kris Mienert said the boy's siblings saw him come home and grab his shoes and jacket. Authorities checked area schools and playgrounds, she said.

An officer in the area at about 8 p.m. said they had checked the park along Woodcrest Drive before but couldn't find him initially because he was in the woods.

Police spoke with the boy's parents, who reported that he hadn't been having any major issues at school or at home, Mienert said.
