Woodbury Police Use Taser on Man After He Runs From Theatre

The man could face charges of suspicion of DWI, obstructing the legal process and fleeing on foot.

Woodbury police tasered a St. Paul man Nov. 16 after he ran from officers investigating a disturbance call.

A security officer at Woodbury 10 Theatre said an apparently drunk male and female were causing a disturbance outside. When police arrived, the man ran away from them and toward some apartment buildings. An officer Tased him and he was then transported to Woodwinds Hospital.

He was released after a blood sample was taken.

Police gave the female a citation for underage consumption and let her parents take her home.

Charges against the man are pending the blood test results. He could be charged with DWI, obstructing the legal process and fleeing on foot.
