Woodbury Police Welcome K-9 Nova to Team

The new K-9 companion will join Woodbury Police Officer Brian Cline on the job.

Woodbury Public Safety has added a second K-9 officer to its corps, welcoming Nova to the force earlier this month. 

"We are excited to introduce our newest K-9 partner, Nova," said information Michelle Okada of Woodbury Public Safety. "Nova is an 11-month-old male German Shepard from Slovakia; he is adjusting well to his new home with handler Officer Brian Cline."

Nova and Officer Cline will join Bosco and Officer Ehrenberg for a 13-week training program starting March 4 at St. Paul Canine Training Center.

Woodbury Public Safety utilizes police canine (K-9) units for tracking of lost/missing persons, detecting drugs, searching buildings and apprehending suspects.
