Woodbury Woman Heading to Trial After Allegedly Tipping Off Subject of Sting Operation

Jennifer Anne Allshouse, 30, is facing felony charges for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

A Washington County judge on Friday, March 2, found enough probable cause in the case against Woodbury resident Jennifer Anne Allshouse to order a jury trial.

The 30-year-old and charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after she interfered with a Dakota County Drug Task Force sting operation—which she helped arrange.

According to a Dakota County criminal complaint, Allshouse was sent into a South St. Paul apartment to confirm the presence of automatic weapons and drugs but, when contacted via text by her police handler, she advised officers to wait "five minutes" before entering.

The most serious charge against Allshouse carries with it a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.

Allshouse on Friday waived her right to a speedy trial which allowed District Court Judge Timothy McManus to set her trial date 8:30 a.m. Sept. 17.

McManus also scheduled a settlement conference for Aug. 29 in the event the parties find a resolution to the case.

Allshouse was ordered to remain law abiding, refrain from the use of controlled substances and keep police informed of her whereabouts after posting a $100,000 bond on Jan. 23.
