A 'Behind the Scenes Tour' of Woodbury

Applications will be accepted soon for the Woodbury Community Foundation's Citizens' Academy.

Started with the idea of getting residents more engaged with the city, the Woodbury Community Foundation’s annual Citizens’ Academy is set to return for the fourth year.

“It’s a lot of fun,” said Alisa Rabin Bell, executive director of the Woodbury Community Foundation. “It’s a really interesting opportunity for a behind the scenes tour of Woodbury.”

People can apply to be part of the free series starting Dec. 1. Check out the Woodbury Community Foundation’s website for updates.

The series includes experts on various parts of the city, including business, media, public safety, public works and government, among others.

The Citizens’ Academy is held on Monday nights from Feb. 11 to April 22 (except March 11). The final schedule with locations will be finalized soon.

Enrollment for the free sessions will be capped at 25. Applications will be accepted from Woodbury residents first—then it will be opened up to people who work here or own a business next, and others if there is room.
