Additional Retail at Woodbury Cabela's Site 'Conceptual in Nature'

The Woodbury City Council on Wednesday approved a joint application from the outdoors retailer and Jerry's Enterprises.

It could be a gas station, fast-food joint and dry cleaner.

But plans for additional retail pads at the site of a new Cabela’s are “conceptual in nature” at this point, Eric Searles, senior planner, said at Wednesday night’s Woodbury City Council meeting.

The council approved a joint application from Cabela’s and Jerry’s Enterprises, which is also planning a new grocery store at Bielenberg Gardens, the mixed-use development slated at the southwest intersection of Radio Drive and Bailey Road.

Under latest plans, there will be 12,000 square feet of retail space spread across three buildings, Searles said.

The site spans nearly 16 acres at the southwest intersection of Radio Drive and Interstate 94.
