DFL Senate District 53 announced Monday that author, storyteller and humorist Garrison Keillor will headline the July 16 DFL Unity Picnic at Tartan Park in Lake Elmo.
Keillor is primarily known as the host of Minnesota Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion.
Jim Klobuchar—journalist, author, progressive activist and father of U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar—is also set to speak at the event, according to a release from DFL Senate District 53 officials
The event is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. on July 16. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.sd53.org.
