More Development Planned in Woodbury's Phase 2 Area

Plans for Southridge, a 221-home development, are set to come before the Woodbury City Council on Wednesday, July 10.

The Woodbury City Council on Wednesday is set to hold a public hearing on the latest round of development in the Phase 2 area of the city.

Maplewood Development, Inc., is seeking approval for several measures for a 221-home development dubbed Southridge, slated on 78 acres south of Dale Road and east of the future alignment of Pioneer Drive.

The project marks the latest phase of development for the area, which will be opened up in stages as part of a 10-year growth strategy for Woodbury.

Regarding Southridge, developers have also petitioned the city for a study regarding street and utility improvements in the area. The council is expected to vote separately on that item.

The council meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at City Hall. Check out the full agenda on the city’s website.

Following the regular meeting, the council will adjourn to a workshop, at which plans for a new joint police-training facility with Cottage Grove (among other items, including a Phase 2 update) will be discussed. The agenda for the workshop can be found online.
