Ted Lillie, Woodbury Resident and Former State Senator, Named President of Taxpayers League

The newspaper publisher replaces Philip Krinkie, resigned as the Taxpayers League of Minnesota president in order to run for Congress.

Woodbury resident Ted Lillie is the new president of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota.

The group sought him out for the post, said Lillie, who previously represented much of Woodbury in the state Senate.

Lillie, publisher of Lillie Suburban Newspapers, said he would bring to the post the philosophies he embraced as a senator: holding the line on spending and “trying to run government like a business,” he told Patch on Wednesday.
