Woodbury Residents Can Now Pay Utility Bill Online

City administrator calls it a "nice step up" for Woodbury.

Paying your utility bill just got a little easier for web-savvy Woodbury residents.

The city now allows residents to pay their utility bill online. The service started in November 2012 and people are finding it via a link on the city's website, according to Jason Egerstrom, communications coordinator.

“This is a really nice step up,” City Administrator Clint Grildey said during Wednesday night’s City Council meeting.

People can view also their bill, balance, due date, history and consumption data, and elect to be billed electronically only on the city’s website, Gridley said.

City officials haven’t promoted the service much to this point, he said, as Woodbury is “crawling our way into it” and will soon provide more information to residents.

An insert will be included in quarterly utility bills mailed in January, February and March, Egerstrom said.

The city accepts Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit or debit cards.

To sign up for online utility billing, follow the instructions on the city’s website. People will need their account number to access their account.

Residents can visit the Utility Payment Options page to learn more about more ways to pay their utility bill.
