Woodbury’s Kelly Fenton Wins Re-election to State GOP Post

Fenton will continue to serve as Republican Party of Minnesota deputy chairwoman.

Minnesota Republican Party Deputy Chairwoman Kelly Fenton was recently re-elected to the post by the State Central Committee.

“Pat Shortridge and I along with the staff, our many volunteers and candidates have worked very hard over the past year to recover our State Party and continue to move things forward,” Fenton said in a statement. “There is still much work to be done and I look forward to being a part of these efforts. We will work hard to take back the Governor’s Office, the State House and our U.S. Senate seat.”

Fenton, of Woodbury, was re-elected by a vote of 251-90, according to a release.

“I want to thank Pat for his leadership over the past year and wish him well in the future,” she said. “I look forward to working with our newly elected Chairman Keith Downey as we work to win the hearts and minds of Minnesotans in 2014.”

Fenton, a former teacher and school administrator, is a graduate of Marquette University and holds a master’s of administration and supervision from the University of Houston.

She lives in Woodbury with her husband and three children.
