Woodbury Welcomes Newest Police Officers

It was a packed house Wednesday at City Hall as three new officers were sworn in.

One whose brother is on the force. Another who grew up in Woodbury and was a member of the city’s police and fire explorer programs. The third coming with rave reviews from a nearby department—and her husband was watching online from Afghanistan.

Three new Woodbury police officers were sworn in during Wednesday night’s City Council meeting. Dozens of friends and family members, along with public safety personnel, were on hand for the ceremony.

The new officers are Brett Roddy, Garrett Kissner and Caitlin Jaworski. They were chosen from a field of more than 200 applicants, said Public Safety Chief Lee Vague.
