Woodbury's Roadwork Timetable

Work on Tower Drive is nearing completion; here's a list of other projects slated for this summer.

In a very brief Woodbury City Council meeting on Wednesday, officials outlined the timetable for this summer’s roadwork.

David Jessup, public works director, said he doesn’t anticipate the city will put up any detours as crews improve streets this season. (For a list of projects and proposed dates, check out the PDF with this story.)

He also reported that the at Woodbury Drive and Fox Run Road is now working, and Washington County officials will consider the feature whenever they plan a new stoplight. The county is also studying the possibility of a roundabout at and Bailey Road, Jessup said.

The Tower Drive project is nearing completion, though crews would be further along if the weather had been better of late, Jessup said. (Check the photos with this story to see the progress.)

Upcoming Events

City Administrator Clint Gridley gave a couple of quick updates on upcoming events in Woodbury.

The city's will run from 7-10 p.m. and feature live music from Darlene And The Boys. It will be held at . Fireworks are set to begin at 10 p.m. The Woodbury Rotary Club will sell glow necklaces.

Also, the city's Night to Unite will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2. Those interested in holding block parties can call the city at 651-714-3600.
