DIY Christmas Gifts

Homemade Christmas gifts. To do or not to do?

Thank goodness for Black Friday online sales. I was able to complete some of my necessary shopping.

Now I would like to try my hand at some DIY gifts. Would like to put gift baskets together that consist of some useful items: Body Butter, Body Scrub, Lip Balm, Lip Healer and Body Soap made with coconut oil and an essential oil (yet to be determined).

I am really looking forward to making these items with my child.  It is a chance for us to have some quality time too.  Yet, at the same time, I am unsure how my family and friends will like the homemade gift baskets.

Has anyone given homemade gifts at Christmas time?

What did you make?

How did your family/friends like the gift?

What type of homemade gift would you like to receive?

Homebrew and wine. Visit Vine Park Brewing Company www.vinepark.com. Or if you have get a couple months lead time, visit a local home brew supply store for everything you'll need to do it all at home. Calendars are great for relatives -especially grandparents. shutterfly.com makes it so easy and they do a really great job of printing that'll I'll only print at a local copy shop if I run out of time. Ornaments can get real tacky real easily, but the ones that capture a moment in time tend to see more years of use. The salt dough santa head is especially cute when a baby or toddler's hand is used to make the impression.
