I know this is kind of my usual topics, but thought I should share this useful information. I use to do real estate sales until the market fell out, and switched over to the mortgage side of the industry. Due to my background I try to help people that are facing foreclosures.
My first question I ask if they person attempted a loan modification? Many have been denied. The denial is beyond me since banks received bailout oney, and obviously aren’t helping homeowners, but their own pockets. So, on that note I would like to share Molly’s Story and resources to attempt save your home from foreclosure. Can’t make a guarantee that it will work, but a try beats a fail.
- See if you qualify for a DU Refi Plus mortgage.
- Contact Habitat for Humanity, twin cities as they have a foreclosure prevention department. http://www.tchabitat.org/
- PRG does similar work. http://www.prginc.org/
- Can also reach out to Lutheran Social Services for assistance. They can help with debt unrelated to the mortgage; possible debt consolidation.
Definitely contact Habitat for Humanity and PRG immediately!
