Juice Feast/Fast Day 15

Thank goodness for healthy substitutes.

I was just plain lazy.  Well, a planned lazy.  Since I knew that I was going to have a busy Monday morning, I purchased Naked Juice and Smartwater the evening before so that I could bring it to work.  Mr. Man also decided he would like to start adding a little juice to his diet.

I am keeping my water intake high and flushing out the toxins.  The acne on my face isn't as bad, nor are my joints painful.  I still have a little stiffness, but there is definitely a lot of improvement.  I also did not have to resort to an enema as my body started to remove the built up toxins naturally.

I am really considering having an ionic foot cleanse this weekend to assist in speeding up the removal of the toxins.  I feel that it would really help with the ache in my joints and speed up the detoxification process.  There is a place in Woodbury, Minnesota called Peaceful Waters that performs this service along with many others.

Yes, the ionic foot cleanse does work.  I was very skeptical the first time that I went to have it done.  I thought how the heck does this remove toxins.  There is even a chart where you can compare the colors and know exactly where the toxins are pulling from.  My joints were killing me at the time, so my colors matched the joints and kidneys.  The next time I went I happened to have drinks with friends the night before.  My colors were my liver, kidney and joints.  I may start going weekly for a month, then maintain once per month to lend an extra hand.

Physical appearance: I noted that my cheekbones are getting more pronounced, slimming of the waistline, and can see a little definition to up upper abdomen.  I have also noticed an increase in my energy level and getting better sleep at night.  Not bad after just over two weeks and some hard lessons.

Dinner was simple.  I did not feel like cooking or eating out so we ordered in:  Quiznos.  No, I did not have a sandwich.  Mr. Man and I ordered the chicken noodle soup.  He ate the soup, I just ate the broth.

Since I did not actually juice, I thought I would at least share one of my favorite recipes:

  • 1 Sonya apple
  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 1/4 pineapple
  • 1 peeled lemon
  • 3 kale leaves
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1 handful of parsley
